KA-BAR Original military issue designed Mark 1 offers a Kraton G elastomer handle for better grip and control even in wet environment conditions.

The knife has an epoxy powder coated, high carbon (1095) steel blade with a [HRC 56-58] hardness rating.

This Mark 1 knife features a 5 1/8″ straight edge full tang blade that is flat ground sharpened to 20 / 20 degrees with buff polished edges providing an excellent cutting edge.

The overall length of this knife is 9 3/16″, the perfect size for an easy carry tactical Navy knife.

The metal butt caps & carbon steel guards are both powder coated to protect against corrosion.

Knife is made exclusively in Olean, New York and proudly stamped with the KA-BAR brand name.

Knife comes in a non-reflective all black finish and has a full straight edge flat ground blade for better edge retention and easy sharpening.

Knife comes with a Molle compatible hard shell reinforced black plastic sheath which is a highly protective and can withstand rough treatment in harsh terrains. These sheaths are known for their resistance to impact, corrosion, and abrasion. Its all-weather performance, impervious to most chemicals, petroleum-based products, and moisture, including salt water has made it very popular with underwater divers. With its many lashing ports, and double snap closures, this sheath can be mounted in several different positions including inverted.
